Design of a common enclosure language for a family of networking routers.
Challenge
Belkin was looking to refresh the look of their entire line of networking routers, switches and access points.
At time of design setting up and using wireless routers was still assuming the technical proficiency of an early adopter. People were not able to set up and service their routers themselves. Belkin had made tremendous progress in designing a setup and service experience that was easy enough to complete for the untrained consumer and was looking to tell this story
The design of the router line is soft and approachable, concealing technology while referencing artefacts of nature and the home.
