What it is

Phyn Plus is an AI powered smart meter that analyses how water is used in your house. The product is installed in the main water line of the house where sensors sample the pressure and flow in your plumbing. The AI identifies a unique signatures of each fixture in your home giving you information on specific water use per device and automatically shutting off the main line when you have a leak.

Challenge

Phyn was looking for support in the design of their first product. It needed to support brand coherence and awareness by being focal point and talking point all in one. We leveraged the design to reflect Phyn’s mission of “giving the world the ability to speak water”.

We created a visual language based on Phyn’s mission statement.

  • By doing so we created an iconic read with deep ties into the very heart of the brand with the longevity to live in Phyn products for years to come.

    The product envelopes the water pipe and illustrates the flow of water within. Phyn seemingly makes the pipe transparent for the user and takes the mystery out of what is happening within the pipe.

  • The product required an off-the-shelf power supply and override tool. We designed both to integrate them seamlessly with the design and create a coherent brand presence.

    The power supply is integrated in the mounting bracket, creating a beautiful and useful experience. The bracket also holds the manual override tool which has been meticulously designed.
